Transformational guidance for healing the whole person, body, mind & spirit from the energy medicine, Ayurvedic, and Chinese medicine models.

Often when we aren’t feeling well there is a desire to go back to how we were, to ourselves. The problem with this thinking is that how we were isn’t how we are now. Healing often requires entering a liminal, transformative space that allows for inner recalibration. When we try to be a certain way instead of adapting to changes and advancements in our state of being we are unknowingly creating a perpetual state of feeling unwell. We call this reluctance to embrace, metabolize and potentially release, Qi Stagnation in Chinese medicine.

Many people are drawn in to Ageless due to the acupuncture practice. Acupuncture can offer an opening into one’s deeper sense of self, a hypnogic transformative state of consciousness, and a release or recirculation of energy. This can translate to pain relief, decreased anxiety, better digestion, and hormonal regulation to name a few benefits. What I often see though, is that people need more. They need something that helps them to recognize what they’re doing and how they’re perceiving that’s keeping them stuck on the roller coaster of feeling up, feeling down, sticking to good habits, and letting those go.

Over the years of self analysis and healing, and observing the healing of others, I’ve come to recognize that how we are is making us sick. An extension of that is that what we’re doing is making us sick. Of course, there are outside influences that contribute to illness or wellness, and genetic factors, but I’m not talking about those. I’m talking about the factors that we have choices about whether we realize them or not. These are the factors we are so immersed in that we often don’t see. They can be beliefs, foods, reactions, habits. They are the sea we swim in and like the deep sea fish, we don’t even know we’re in it because it’s just a part of how things are for us. Or maybe we adopt a habit or food because it is trending to be healthy, but it actually isn’t healthy for our body or mental type. Yet because we lack guidance or more perspective we just don’t realize it.

These thoughts, emotions, and actions that make up the fabric of how we’re being can actually be forces that lead to disregulation of our energy, the switching on and off of genes, and all manner of symptomology. That’s why I say, how we are is making us sick. What we’re doing is making us sick. The flip side of this is how we are makes us whole, and it’s what we do that can allow us to heal.
